Mandir Altar
This is a Hindu prayer temple suitable for home use. The wood is red oak with accents of Brazilian cherry on the main alter and pull-out, removable table, and maple for the small spindles. Details include the red crystal on the dome’s top finale. The columns and finals are hand-turned. As example of the craftsmanship used at Wood Grain & Stain, the “floor” and back wall of the mandir are assembled as would be a real temple floor using router cut finger joints. The pull-out table is locked in and has no deflection, even under typical load. Actuating a cantilever allows the removal of the table for various ceremonial uses.
